On New Year's Eve, 1930, the Doctor lets Charley keep her appointment at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. But his unease at what he's done to time by saving her life soon turns into fear.
Sebastian Grayle: immortal, obsessed, ruthless, has come to the city to meet the Time Lord. To the Doctor, he's a complete stranger, but to Grayle, the Doctor is an old enemy. An enemy that, many years ago, he finally succeeded in killing. And this is his only chance to gloat. The Doctor and Charley desperately search human history for the secret of Grayle's power and immortality.
Their quest takes in four different time periods, the Hellfire Club, the court of Edward the Confessor and the time vortex itself. And when the monsters arrive, the stakes are raised from the life of one Time Lord to the existence of all humanity.

A fun villain
By Peter Ingemi
Another great adventure of the 8th doctor and Charlie as they meet a foe who has gone through time fighting the doctor. The Doctor meets his foe who gloats over his victory forcing him to backtrack through time leading to their meetings. (wibbly wobbly timey wimey). Thus the doctor finds him self in Roman England, the time of Edward the Confessor and a fun time in the early 1800's as he tries to defeat this "new" foe and perhaps an old one too.
As usual McGain and Fisher run with a great script, the supporting actors come through as the story flows forward toward a climax. The only real question seems to be are McGain and Fisher capable of a sub par performances? Apparently not at least so far.

Review of the Seasons
By Jason Rayle
It is a fantastic adventure with a lot of chasing and time travel. I do not know what will happened next. The ending of the bad guy is quite a surprise. The mystery at the end is a real nail biter

Season of Brilliance
By Adam Graham, Superhero and Detective Fiction Author
It seems to be a recurring theme in Audio Doctor Who with the Doctor encountering a cvilain multiple times and occasionally out order (see the Ghosts of N Space and the Excelis saga). This story far easier to do over audio whereas doing it right on television requires too many sets and just becomes too expensive. It may have never been done better than it was here. The story begins in 1930 when the Doctor finally brings Charley to Signapore only to discover Sebastian Crail, a man he's never met before declaring he's one of the Doctor's lifelong enemies and that he's killed the Doctor already.
The Doctor gets Charley and they set about to solve the mystery, travelling to London in three different times: during Roman occupation, the middle ages, and then during the mid-19th century. Each era is created with exquisite detail. My favorite was the Doctor's visit to Edward the Confessor and Edith.
Also worthy of praise is Stephen Perring as the ever-changing Sebastian Grayle. It really makes the episode.
This story is a lot of fun as the actions of Grayle's masters allow the Doctor to meddle even more than usual. Fans of the new series will have to smile at the Doctor's use of, "Geronimo" when diving into the vortex. The story also includes a nice theory of the truth behind the Mithra legend.
In addition, the story moved along the season long arc nicely, not the least of which was having Charley and the Doctor interacting together.
The only thing that seemed off about the story was a somewhat off-color remark by Charley to the Doctor, though this may have been meant to show how their relationship is growing closer.
